Position description
Academic Position. The Department of Medicine (http://med.ucsd.edu) and the Division of Endocrinology & Metabolism at the University of California, San Diego, is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body and seeks an Assistant, Associate, or Full Specialist.
The selected candidate will be responsible for scientific writing, conducting experiments, scholarly contributions and presentations.
Appointment will be at the Assistant, Associate or Full Specialist rank.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
Candidates must have a PhD in Basic Science, Molecular Biology or related and/or Neurosciences.
Candidates must have a minimum of five years working in an academic or recognized biotech setting
Preferred qualifications
Candidates with experience in computational biology and the ability to present work at major meetings are preferred.
